First Day of Classes
First Day of Classes
Our first day of classes for all Ernest Morrow School (EMS) students is Tuesday, September 2, 2025 and the school office is open to parents/guardians on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 9 AM.
Tuesday, the first day of school, all students will be meeting Homeroom teachers and entering the building at 9:05.
Parents/guardians will not be allowed in the school unless they need to register a student at the main office. If parents/guardians are accompanying student(s) to school, they will need to say goodbyes outside at designated entry doors.
Tuesday, September 2 – Thursday, September 4, 2025
- Students will be attending school from 9:05 to 3:31. Lunch will be from 1:00 pm – 1:35 - Please have students bring a lunch
Wednesday, September 3, 2025
- Breakfast program begins - doors (main entry) will be open at 8:45 AM.
- First day for cafeteria service - there is a charge per item purchased
Friday, September 5, 2025
- ALL students attend from 9:05 AM – 1:00 PM
- Breakfast program doors (main entry) will be open at 8:45 AM. The breakfast program begins Wednesday, September 3, 2025
- All entry doors will be open at 8:55 AM

Lunch Supervision
Grade 7 & 8 students stay on campus for lunch. Grade 9 students are allowed to go off campus for lunch with the expectation they conduct themselves in a manner that represents Ernest Morrow well while out in the community. Returning on time at 1:31.

Transportation
Yellow School Bus Transportation
Our yellow school bus routes are designed over the summer using the addresses submitted before June's pre-registration deadline. Get ready for some exciting journeys!

School Supplies
Grade 7,8,9 students are responsible to bring their own supplies to school. This includes but is not limited to:
- Pens/Pencils
- Pencil Crayons
- Paper
- Binder(s)
- Calculator (scientific for Grades 7,8,9).
School supply lists will also distributed by teachers the first week of school along with course outlines.

Cafeteria
The Ernest Morrow Cafeteria will open Tuesday, September 3.

Digital technologies are transforming how we teach our students. We utilize a range of technology tools to personalize each student’s learning experience, including getting connected to Wi-Fi for seamless access to educational resources.
Off-Site Activities
Keep updated on field-trips and other exciting off-site activities throughout the year. We're excited to expand on learning opportunities by stepping outside of the classroom.
