Health & Wellness at the CBE

At the CBE, we believe in a whole school approach to health and wellness. We call this our Comprehensive School Health (CSH) approach. CSH is about healthy eating, active living, supportive social environments and positive mental health. As a system, we focus on the following four areas: healthy eating; healthy relationships; physical activity; and positive mental health. Each school creates its own approach and goals for health and wellness.

School Resource Officer

The role of the Resource Officer is to provide guidance and act as a legal resource for teachers, students, parents/guardians and the community at large. Part of this role is to encourage communication and greater understanding among young people and the Calgary Police Service.

School Counsellor

The CBE Psychological Services Team will be supporting Ernest Morrow School for the remainder of the 25-26 school year. The psychologist on-site may engage in the following services in order to best support the student community: collaborate with the school learning team, participating in learning team meetings, review and clarify assessment results, and offer recommendations for academic, social-emotional, and behavioural supports.

The psychologist may also spend time in the school community engaging with students in both group and individual formats, and may collaborate with classroom teachers to present information on relevant topics. Any specific requests for individual student support from the psychologist will be discussed directly with guardians who can provide consent for engagement.
