Hello Parent(s) and Guardian(s),
We are preparing for the Student-Led Conferences taking place Thursday night from 4:30pm – 8:00pm and/or Friday morning from 8:30am – 12:00am.The staff is looking forward to meeting with you and discussing your child’s educational journey.
Our Grade 6 students were very fortunate to have a visit from Api'soomaahka, William Singer III. William is a well-respected elder from Kainai, which is one of the four nations of the Blackfoot confederacy. He spoke about the earth and our responsibility to be the stewards of our planet and to live in reciprocity with the land. Students learned stories from Blackfoot culture that included the stars, the sun, the animals, the plants and how we fit into that complex network. Each student was given two plant gifts and taught where to find the plants and how they can be used here in this local environment. Api'soomaahka spoke in both English, Blackfoot (Niitsiposin) and taught the students how to use sign language to talk about their world.

- March 22 – Student-Led Conferences 8:30am – 12:00pm

- April 2 - Classes Resume
- April 11 – Band Concert
How to Book a School Conference
- Log-in to MyCBE.
If you do not have an account, follow the Create a MyCBE Account instructions.
- Click on the My School Conferences icon.
- Click on the time slot that is available and convenient for you. Ensure pop-up windows are allowed.
- In the pop-up window, you will choose your child (you have the option to enter the student's name), the name of the parent / guardian is pre-filled, but can also be changed.
Create a MyCBE Account
- Go to www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe and click on the “Create Parent Account” link.
Important
The email that you are using to create your account must be the same one you have provided to the school. If you are unsure, please contact the school office.
- Once you have created an account, you will receive a confirmation email.
- After your account is confirmed, you can login to the system.

Reminder…
Pick-Up and Drop-Off
Please continue to drop-off your students in the family parking lot. There should be no traffic past the signs that state “No Drop Off Zone." Only staff, buses and taxis should drive into the main staff parking lot. This is to ensure student safety.
CAFETERIA IS CLOSED FOR THIS WEEK
We have hired a new Food Services Lunch Supervisor! Yeah! I am hopeful the cafeteria will re-open after Spring Break, more information to follow at a later date.
