Hello EMS Families

It has been another great week at Ernest Morrow School! I want to recognize the fantastic work our Grade 7 team is doing to support students in their learning and development. The team continues to work collaboratively to create positive learning experiences, build strong relationships, and ensure students feel supported as they navigate their first year at EMS. We appreciate the dedication and teamwork our staff demonstrate each day to help our students grow and succeed.

Important Dates and Reminders

  • Monday, October 19: No school for students.
  • Thursday, October 22: Picture Retake Day.
  • Monday, October 26: School Council Meeting at 5:30 p.m. at Ernest Morrow School. All parents and guardians are welcome to attend and participate in conversations about our school community.
  • November 7–8: School Council Casino Fundraiser. This fundraiser is an important opportunity to support our school and students. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the school office. We appreciate the support of our families in making this event a success!
  • November 9–10: Parent-Teacher Conferences. The online booking system will open in the coming weeks. We will share additional information with families once booking is available. We look forward to connecting with families to discuss student learning, progress, and next steps.

  • 3:31–4:45 p.m. – Senior Boys Basketball Practice (Main Gym)
  • 3:31–4:45 p.m. – Junior Boys Basketball Practice (Aux Gym)
  • 4:00–6:00 p.m. – Boys Soccer Semi-Finals (Location TBD)
  • 5:30–6:30 p.m. – Senior Girls Basketball Game @ SJF
