Hello Parents / Guardians,

Wow! It feels like we just finished our spring break and here we are entering the May long weekend. As I get older, it seems like the time moves more quickly! However, I do realize that it is not possible. J Yesterday we had our grade 6’s here, from our feeder schools, to tour our building. The soon-to-be Mustangs were able to look at our amazing complementary course classes, hear ‘student life’ information from grade 7 and 9 students as well as meet some teachers. I have always loved transitions – meeting new students, families and talking about next year’s plans. While we are starting to plan and look ahead to next year, we are intently focused on finishing this year in a good way.

Volunteers Needed

We have a Casino coming up in June and we are looking for volunteers. For more information please contact Celia (Casino Chair) at Burns_696@hotmail.com or Nadia (Parent Council Chair) at harrisquiring@gmail.com

Important Dates

May 21 – Victoria Day – NO SCHOOL

Here is a quote I would like to share with you as we move into our long weekend.

“The sights and sounds, fresh air, and physical activities help restore balance in people’s lives. The land is where peace and tranquility are found. One can think clearly without modern distractions…the land is both teacher and healer.”

– Herman J. Mitchell, Land Based Education (2018)

Have a great long weekend!
