Dear EMS Families,

I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful spring weather and finding time to relax and recharge as we move through another busy and exciting month at Ernest Morrow School.

This week, students across all grade levels continued engaging in meaningful learning experiences in their classrooms. Grade 7 students have been deepening their understanding of science and social studies through inquiry and discussion-based learning activities. Grade 8 students have been working hard on preparing for upcoming assessments while continuing to build strong learning habits and classroom community. Grade 9 students have been focused on strengthening essential learning outcomes and preparing for PATs and high school transition activities.

One of the highlights of the week was our cricket inservice in partnership with the City of Calgary. Students had an amazing opportunity to learn the fundamentals of cricket, develop teamwork skills, and participate in highly engaging physical activity sessions. It was wonderful to see so many students actively involved, trying something new, and having fun together.

Please note that there will be no school on Friday, May 15.
